Hardware Firewall Advice?
I currently run a couple of servers and have been using windows firewall, however some customers are now asking if we could have hardware firewalls and this is something new to me.
From what I understand a hardware firewall helps the load of the server as Windows is not dealing with bad traffic.
The main thing I am not sure about is what type of firewall to get as from what I have seen they have some limitations in form of concurrent users
For example my datacentre can provide
Juniper Netscreen 5GT Plus -
- 10 IP addresses**, 2,000 concurrent sessions
Cisco ASA 5510
- 50,000 concurrent sessions, 50 VPN, Not limited for IPs
Cisco ASA 5510 AIM-SSM10
- 50,000 concurrent sessions, 50 VPN, intrusion prevention, threat
mitigation, Not limited for IPs
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
