Paypal Address already Taken? Previous Domain Owner registered… Any ideas?
Okay I bought a domain (for this I’ll call it ABC.COM) and apparently it had been registered before and i did not know it. I went to paypal and setup sales@ABC.com and it said that his email address is already registered. Now I can obviously create a different email address and be done with it, but would there be anyway I could contact the original owner and see if they can release this name from paypal? Is there is any disadvantages or risks to doing this?
I figured if there was a chargeback to that email account I could be screwed, but I’m sure paypal would see it released and given to a completely different account. I know it’s very cosmetic, but just curious on what you guys would do… all my emails have a sales@domain.com and I would hate to change the scheme for this one domain. Any ideas?
I am not too far into it, so I could go back and change all my sales email transactions to let’s say checkout@domain.com
Just curious what your guys thoughts were and if it is even possible to get the previous owner to release this email.
