To W3C icon or not to icon?
So I’m curious, what’s the general thought on putting those little W3C badges showing validated (X)HTML or CSS code on a site?
Does it really serve any purpose aside from vainglory? Are they considered tacky and pointless? Or are they considered acceptable to show for a job well done?

To be honest, I don’t really recall ever seeing them on an actual site.
Thoughts?
